ShuCake is Toronto's Eastern artisan cake studio — handmade daily, made to order, never mass-produced. We're a small and close-knit team that cares deeply about what ends up on the table.

Open Positions
Help assemble and decorate cakes daily in our Scarborough studio. No formal training needed — just a genuine love of baking and a steady hand.
Responsibilities
- Assist with cream whipping, fruit prep, and cake assembly
- Complete decoration and finishing to brand standards
- Keep the workstation clean and follow food safety protocols
- Support quality checks and order packaging before pickup
Requirements
- Genuine interest in baking; prior experience is a plus
- Steady hands and strong attention to detail
- Available on weekends and holidays
- Food Handler Certificate preferred (can be arranged)

Plan and produce content for our Instagram and XiaoHongShu channels. Strong writing instincts, an eye for food aesthetics, and a feel for platform culture are what matter most.
Responsibilities
- Produce 8–12 posts per month across Instagram and XHS
- Build content around new product launches and seasonal drops
- Manage comments and community engagement
- Track performance metrics and suggest content adjustments
Requirements
- Active, engaged user on the platforms you'll be managing
- Strong written voice in English (Mandarin is a bonus)
- Prior food or lifestyle content experience preferred
- Basic product photography skills are an asset

Run the pickup experience at our Downtown or Scarborough location — order handoffs, customer communication, and on-the-spot problem solving. You're the face of the brand in person.
Responsibilities
- Manage on-site pickup operations and order handoffs
- Handle customer inquiries via Shopify Inbox and WeChat
- Resolve order issues on the spot when they arise
- Collect customer feedback and relay to the team
Requirements
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English
- Prior customer service or retail experience preferred
- Polished and personable — you represent the brand
- Reliable weekend availability

If there's a good initial fit, we'll set up a 15–20 minute video or phone call — low pressure, both ways.
Production roles include a half-day paid trial. Content roles include a small sample task so we can see how you think.
Once confirmed, we move quickly. Most people are onboarded within a week of accepting. Welcome to the team.
