How far in advance do I need to order?

How will I know when my order is on the way?
Please ensure the contact name and phone number on your order belong to the person receiving the cake. When your order is dispatched, you'll receive a tracking link by email or SMS. The driver will call you when approaching and again upon arrival — please keep your phone reachable.
Drivers are unable to bring cakes upstairs. If you cannot be reached, the cake will be left in the lobby or at your front door (for houses and townhouses), and a photo will be sent to you. Please refrigerate it as soon as possible.
We are not responsible for any damage, loss, or deterioration that occurs after the cake has been delivered and photographed — including theft, prolonged outdoor exposure, weather, or wildlife.
If your lobby does not permit unattended items and the driver cannot reach you, the driver will proceed to the next stop. You will need to contact the driver directly to arrange redelivery. A redelivery fee will apply.
Can I change the delivery address after ordering?
Can I cancel my order?
Cancellation requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before your scheduled pickup or delivery. Cancellations made within this window will receive full store credit valid for 12 months.
Cancellations requested within 48 hours of your scheduled time are not eligible for store credit, as preparation will already be underway. All sales are final once confirmed.

Can I change my order after it's placed?
My cake arrived damaged or incorrect — what do I do?
Please inspect your cake immediately upon receipt. If it appears damaged or incorrect, contact us at order@shucake.ca within 2 hours of receiving it, with clear photos attached.
Claims submitted after this window cannot be accepted due to the perishable nature of our products. If your claim is accepted, we'll offer a replacement, store credit, or partial refund at our discretion.
Note: minor variations in colour, decoration, or finish are natural characteristics of handcrafted fresh cream cakes and are not considered defects.
